2021 Brick and Mortar AV Chardonnay

The 2021 Anderson Valley Chardonnay is aromatic, combining fresh citrus and floral elements.  The valley is sunny, so the warm days and cool nights from the pacific ocean give both a nice acidity, along with a richness of fruit. 

Matt and Alexis use a touch of oak barrels on their Chardonnay, inspired by the winemaker’s time in Burgundy. which gives hints of toasted hazelnut and spice. Ripe melon, quince and yellow apple flavors are coupled with mandarin zest, juniper and thyme. 

Combined, wine growing and winemaking result in a textured and elegant wine. Beautiful in its youth, this Chardonnay will age gracefully and improve over the next 5+ years.

Food pairing

A wine with so much vibrancy and complexity is also very versatile. This wine is is going to work through your starters from soups to baked salmon or grilled chicken.  Definitely open this early before people sit down to eat,  so they can really enjoy it throughout the meal.
