Wines in Tandem was founded by Ryan Crosbie, who at the young age of 28 gave up a nice career in wine for the temptation of 'tech start ups'. A decade later, he returned to his roots to fulfill the dream of opening a wine shop, tasting room, and wine club. 

When your first job in the wine industy is harvesting fruit at 6am, trips to the doctors for broken toes and tetanus shots, and making sure to get back in time for your 3pm class, you can't help but fall in love with the labor of grape growing and wine making for a premium, family-owned winery.  This personal and rather gritty experience might explain the approach to our retail shop and tasting room, which feels a lot more like a winery tasting room than a restaurant or wine bar. 

And although Ryan is a graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, he doesn't think the residents, faculty, or students of Davis will mind once they've tried our wines.
